Responsible Gun Ownership & Safety
At Western Trails Gun Shows, we believe that every firearm owner has a duty to practice safe and responsible ownership. Our mission is not only to provide a place for the community to buy, sell, and trade, but also to promote safety, education, and accountability.
The Four Rules of Firearm Safety
• Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
• Never point a firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy.
• Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target and you are ready to fire.
• Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.
Safe Storage
• Always secure firearms when not in use, especially around children.
• Use gun safes, lock boxes, or chamber locks to prevent unauthorized access.
• Store ammunition separately from firearms when possible.
Ongoing Education
Responsible ownership doesn’t stop at the purchase. We encourage all attendees to:
• Take part in local safety courses and firearms training programs.
• Stay current on Nevada state and federal laws.
• Practice safe handling at the range and at home.
Our Commitment
Western Trails Gun Shows is committed to fostering a culture of responsibility. By working together as a community, we can ensure firearms remain a respected and safe part of American heritage
